Child safety standards

Child Safety at iwanitoo

iwanitoo is meant to be a respectful place where people share wishes and discover what they have in common. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) has no place here. These standards apply to all persons under 18 years of age and to all content and behaviour on iwanitoo.

iwanitoo is intended for people aged 16 and over. This age limit does not remove the protection of minors.

What we prohibit

Content and conduct that sexually abuses, exploits or endangers children or young people is prohibited on iwanitoo. This includes in particular:

  • child sexual abuse material (CSAM), meaning depictions of the sexual abuse of minors, including computer-generated depictions of this kind;
  • the sexualisation of minors, as well as requests to produce or share sexual content of minors;
  • making contact with the aim of sexual exploitation, also referred to as grooming;
  • sexual blackmail, also referred to as sextortion;
  • offers, advertising, links or facilitation that support the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of minors.

These rules also apply to profile information, images, videos, text and links. Such content must not be offered, sought, distributed or linked to through iwanitoo.

Reporting concerns

If you notice a piece of content or a profile, you can use the reporting function in the app. You do not have to judge for yourself whether a law has been broken. Briefly describe your concern and refer to the content or profile in question.

You can also reach us at support@iwanitoo.com. Please do not send copies, screenshots or attachments containing suspected child sexual abuse material. A reference to the content or profile in question and a short description are enough for an initial report.

If a person is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services or law enforcement directly. iwanitoo is not an emergency service.

How we handle reports

Child safety reports are prioritised and reviewed by a responsible person. Where there is a specific suspicion, we can make the affected content temporarily inaccessible and restrict account functions. Confirmed prohibited content is removed from public display. Depending on the circumstances, further measures up to the suspension of an account may follow.

Reports and measures are documented with restricted access. Information about reporting persons is not disclosed to the reported account. This does not affect any disclosure to competent bodies that is required by law.

Working with competent bodies

We review relevant suspected cases in line with our internal reporting procedure and the applicable legal requirements. We submit required reports to the competent authorities or the reporting bodies designated for this purpose. We cooperate with lawful requests from competent bodies within the framework provided by law.

The preservation, disclosure and deletion of case-related information follows the applicable legal requirements and is handled with restricted access.
